The main purpose of this study is to explore the intention of the public to install residential alarms. Based on the theory of planned behavior, it is hoped to understand the public's attitude towards the installation and testing of residential alarms, subjective norms of fire protection reg ulations, perceived behavior control, behavioral intentions, and adoption of installations. Whether there is an interactive relationship between the five factors including behavior, is verified by constructing the main framework of the research. The study mainly uses a cross sectional study, using an online questionnairesurvey with a structured questionnaire to conduct a convenience sampling(Convenience Sampling) survey for the general public. The questionnaires will becollected between May 18, 2023 and June 1, 2023. A total of 301 successful interview questionnaires were recovered, excluding 1 questionnaire for unqualified respondents, and the final number of successful samples was 300, with a success rate of 99%.The research results show that people who have already installed residentialalarms already have a degree of acceptance of residential alarms, and relatively havemore positive affirmation and support. The influence of friends is more important, andpeople who have installed residential alarms w ill be more willing to support thegovernment's policies, and they will also be more willing to popularize them in other areas besides their own homes, and they will be more willing to maintain the equipment normally, and they will be more willing to pay for it at their own expense. It is installed in other areas of the home. Respondents pay attention to the type of installation, and also pay attention to connection related functions. They are more concerned about home fire safety. People who have not insta lled residential alarms really think it is difficult to install them by themselves. , and thus reduce the willingness to install. This study suggests that for those who have not installed, even though the installation procedures may have been continuously simplified, they still think it is difficult to install by themselves. Such people may also focus on the older age groups. In addition to residences, relevant government units can also provide home installation teaching, or unified installation teaching in structions to increase the penetration rate of residential alarm installation.
