In recent years, the popularity and demand for self-media and short video content creation have prompted more and more people to want to enter the 3D animation field quickly. However, they often face two major challenges: a lack of basic technical skills, especially in 3D character modeling, and the lengthy rendering time that prevents immediate visualization of the final results. These difficulties form a barrier that novices find hard to overcome. Therefore, if there were a series of tutorial videos addressing these two challenges and guiding beginners step-by-step from modeling to final editing, it would be considered a valuable resource in the market.Hence, this study plans to divide the tutorial content into two main focuses: character creation and 3D animation production. As for software selection, VRoid Studio, which resembles a face customization system in games, has a user-friendly and easily comprehensible modeling interface, making it the most suitable tool for beginners to create 3D character models. For 3D animation and rendering, we have chosen Unreal Engine 5, which allows for swift completion of tasks such as character creation, motion and expression production, and physics engines, among others.Regarding the overall concept of the teaching material, since the target audience for these tutorial videos lacks artistic and software foundations, a demonstration-based approach will be adopted, guiding learners to create the same end product. Each video will be approximately 15 minutes long. Although the current trend favors short videos under 5 minutes, educational content often requires more time to be adequately presented. A duration of around 15 minutes strikes the right balance, not overwhelming learners while ensuring clear explanation of the tutorial content—a suitable video length. The structure of these tutorial videos consists of four videos for character creation and content introduction, eight videos covering pre-animation scenes and character adjustments, and nine videos for animation production and editing. Through these 21 videos, it is expected that 3D animation beginners will quickly acquire the skills needed to create their own animations.
