    Abstract: 目前,不斷增長的 VR 技術使用市場使用化身訪問虛擬現實社交網絡 Horizon(M. Z. Facebook,2021;Shorman,2022)。
Currently, the growing market for the use of VR technologies uses avatars to access a virtual reality social network, Horizon (M. Z. Facebook, 2021; Shorman, 2022). The cultural representation of the users is gaining an important meaning in the representation of the self in social virtual worlds, so understanding the differences in cultural appropriation and the creation of avatars is an important characteristic to optimize the use of this technology in social environments. In order to identify if there are different features in the selection of avatars, the study compares two groups, Colombians and Taiwanese, evaluating the Relation to the metaverse, the Behavioral patterns of avatar and the Avatar Creation, evaluating if there are significant differences in the perception of the above between both groups. It is found that LATAM participants prefer to create avatars that aim at reflecting their own real self in the metaverse while Asia create avatars that aim at a design where they can reflect their thinking, feelings, and state of mind, but not their real physique, findings through the evaluation of different items that are specified in this study.
