Abstract: Taiwan is already an aging society, and the psychological well-being of many elderly people, especially whether they interact well with young people or grandchildren, needs attention. This project will analyze the gaps and problems that may arise in the communication between the young generation (grandchildren) and the middle-aged and elderly generation (grandparents) and explore the diversity and transformation of communication modes in the era of the Internet - the evolution from the existing communication methods out of the form of online communication, this project focuses on the use of jhǎng bèitú in the communication software Line, The "jhǎng bèi tú" defined in the research is a message containing pictures and texts. Because using this object is mostly for middle and high age groups, therefore, called this "jhǎng bèi tú". According to young people’s teasing about these pictures, we assumed that the interaction with pictures is not effective. Therefore, we want to know more about this phenomenon. The status of communication between the two parties through this medium, whether they have received appropriate responses in the communication and interaction, whether effective communication and understanding can be achieved, in response to the above problems, and the communication expectations between the two parties, design a new type of jhǎng bèi tú, and the communication effect of the new-style jhǎng bèi tú is understood through experimental research. This study uses a survey method to understand the difficulties encountered in the perception and communication between grandparents and grandchildren. The research participants were 78 pairs of grandchildren. The paired implementation of the Goole online questionnaire was used to conduct statistical analysis on the communication efficiency and problems of the elders. The results of the study found that the jhǎng bèi tú can indeed link the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren. There is a corresponding response between grandparents and grandchildren, and this response is affected by the relationship between each other and the feedback of grandchildren, but it is not affected by the inheritance of grandparents. Moreover, there is no relationship between grandparents and grandchildren in the jhǎng bèi tú, which shows that there are still some problems in the communication of this. The possible source of the problem, in addition to the communication intention of each other, may be related to the external form of the jhǎng bèi tú, such as the font size, typesetting, graphic and text configuration, etc, are also related to the types of elders’ values (such as greetings, philosophy of life, short jokes). The results of this study can be used to improve the communication of the jhǎng bèi tú, and can also be used to design and adjust the jhǎng bèi tú according to the above research results, to increase the acceptance of grandchildren, overcome communication problems, and promote communication and understanding between the two parties. Due to research limitations, the participants in this study were high daily interaction and good relationships, and this result may not be extrapolated to poor relationships.
