Abstract: Everyone works hard for his or her daily living and goal of life in a busy society. At the same time physical tiredness increases with each passing day. Moderate relaxation is getting more and more emphasized by people. Therefore, personal health and recreational activities also become a very popular business.
The purpose of this research lies in analyzing the effect comparison of different massage types (barehanded, hand operation apparatus). It shows the experimental participant’s brain waving records by giving massage on his four caves according to the operation of brain waving instrument. There are twenty-four participants (male:13 ; female:11) taking part in the experiment. The research analyzes brain wave influence of different massage types by recording power. The researcher studies and discusses the effect of relaxation by giving massage based on the theory of Alpha asymmetry. That is to compare the asymmetrical relation between the massage on each stage and ex- sum(F3-F4); to study the space correlation of front and back brain wave through the coherence analysis.
The researcher got a conclusion that shown through the analysis. The power of α wave declined during the process of massage, especially it slowed down in the end to get a result of relaxation. There was no influence on theα-Asymmetry between massage by hands or by tools. However, there was an obvious difference that showed the coherence of theαand β wave to the front-back and right-left side brain.
