    Abstract: The purpose of this research is to discuss the relationship among leisure participation, happiness and teaching effectiveness of teachers who serve in elementary school. The results of this research were expected not only to offer to teachers’ leisure activities planning and participation, but to be an important index to improve teachers’ happiness and teaching effectiveness.
    The research object is the teachers who serve in elementary schools in Miao- Li County. There were 430 questionnaires extended, while 414 (96.3%) be returned. The total number of valid samples obtained for assessment is 400, 93%. After the statistic analysis through SPSS software for Windows 12.0,the relationship among leisure participation, happiness, and teaching effectiveness were certificated significant difference. The reductive results are thereinafter:
    1. The gender, age, and position of elementary school teachers have
    significant influences on their leisure participation.
    2. The age and seniority of elementary school teachers have
    significant influences on their happiness.
    3. The seniority of elementary school teachers has significant
    influences on their effectiveness.
    4. The elementary school teachers’ leisure participation has
    significant relevance with happiness and teaching effectiveness,
    and happiness has significant relevance with teaching
    effectiveness.
    5. The variance among leisure participation, happiness, and teaching
    effectiveness has significant relevance.
