    Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the residents’ need for sports facilities,the satisfaction of sports facilities and the correlation between the need for sports facilities and the satisfaction of sports facilities in nanjhou sports park . And the result will be provided to the government to reference materials.
    This study distributed the questionnaire with the simple radom sampling method to the residents who participate leisure activities in nanjhou sports park.
    This study totally distributes 450 questionnaires and returns437 questionnaires,the response rate is 97%, the valid questionnaires are 429 items, and the valid rate is 95%. The conclusions of the study were summarized as follows:
    1. As a whole, the residents’ need for sports facilities is high.
    2. As different variables: those who are under the age of 19、inhabit
    nanjhou、have the educational level of elementary school (including
    under this level) and work as students have the highest needs.
    3. As a whole, the residents have great satisfaction with the sports
    facilities.
    4. As different variables: those who are under the age of 19、have the
    education level of elementary school and work as students have the
    highest satisfaction with sports facilities, especially with the basketball court、skiing court and the plants.
    5. The game area for children and lighting equipment were needed the
    most but obtained the low satisfaction among these seven sports
    facilities. We can learn that there is still a big improvement to be made efforts in.
