Abstract: Gout (Gout) is two thousand years to exist in human diseases. It is often accompanied by cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, diabetes and other diseases have their relevance, in recent years, found that gout patients die of cardiovascular disease and chronic diseases is generally higher than the probability.

In this study, Taiwanese National Health Insurance database for the data source, the use of the information people find out-patients with gout, and the introduction of death file, will die of cardiovascular disease and gout, chronic kidney disease patients with strings file, and then statistical methods Cox proportional hazards model to calculate the gout risk of death from cardiovascular disease in patients with values, and literature in recent years the use of chemical and biological sampling data results of the study compared to explore the use of full-matrix results of the study data is consistent with the biochemical results of sampling data .

Gout patients in 2003 for the study sample, statistical studies of gout patients died during the five-year risk of cardiovascular disease relationship, the findings that patients with gout risk of death from cardiovascular disease, the value of HR = 2.18 (95% CI 2.13-2.24) P <0.0001, gout and chronic kidney disease patients who died of cardiovascular disease risk value of HR = 2.93 (95% CI 2.63-3.28) P <0.0001, non-gout patients who have chronic kidney disease die of cardiovascular disease The risk value HR = 1.57 (95% CI 1.53-1.62) P <0.0001, was found in patients with gout than in normal people have a higher risk of death from cardiovascular disease.
