People may meet some certain impasses and strive for passing through. Based on the researcher’s personal experience and literature review, this study tried to capture the impasses events of the Zen meditators, which had been resolved in insight problem solving strategy, and connect the role their meditation practice and learning concepts from Zen.For inviting life narrative and impasses events, the researcher conducted a semi-structured interview for 3 participants in 4 times. After completion of the interview, analysis had been exercises in narrative form, including life narrative and impasses events. After that, hermeneutic circle played the key reasoning role to build up the comprehensive understanding of those narratives. This study overviewed these impasses stories in three perspectives: the formation process of the certain impasse, the turning points of insight problem solving, and beneficial concepts for Zen. Chapters 4 to 6 presented the life and impasses experiences as well as insight of the 3 participants in forms of narratives. By the end, the researcher discussed her own learnings and insights from this study process and finding outcomes. In addition, she invited readers to mapping their own relevant issues and experiences to emerge their own insight of these stories and perspectives.
