    Title: 東南亞新台灣之子學習母語歷程之研究

    Abstract: 如何提升新臺灣之子學習母語的意願,進而展現其語言和文化優勢,是現今制定新臺灣之子的母語教育政策之重要課題。因此,有必要加以研究新臺灣之子對於學習母語的意願,以找出提升其學習意願之關鍵因素,以作為政府制定母語教育政策之參考。本研究採用訪談法,訪談11位新臺灣之子及3位新住民家長,以了解影響其學習母語的意願的因素;學習母語對其學業、日常生活、就業之影響;探究其對台灣有的母語教育政策之了解程度;這些母語教育政策對其學習母語的意願之影響。本研究結果發現影響新臺灣之子學習母語的因素相當地多元,其中的好奇心是主要的因素;在學習母語後可以有效地提升母語學習之意願;新臺灣之子們不熟悉台灣的母語教育政策,因而母語推動政策亦不會影響其學習母語的意願;學習母語在日常生活中會帶來部分的助益,但對其學業和將來的就業並無任何的助益。因此,本研究對於母語政策推動之建議為推廣母語學習理念於新住民家庭,改善新住民家庭對於母語之態度與看法;建立在家學習母語之配套措施,使學校與家庭母語學習並行;透過其他管道加強母語相關推動政策宣導,進而使新臺灣之子了解自己可運用的資源。
    How to enhance the willingness of new Taiwan's children to learn their mother tongue, and then show their language and cultural advantages, is an important issue in formulating the mother tongue education policy of new Taiwan's children. Therefore, it is necessary to study the new Taiwan's children's willingness to learn their mother tongue, so as to find out the key factors to enhance their willingness to learn, which can be used as a reference for the government to formulate policies on mother tongue education. In this study, 11 new Taiwan's children and 3 new residents' parents were interviewed to find out the factors influencing their willingness to learn their mother tongue; The influence of learning mother tongue on their study, daily life and employment; To explore their understanding of Taiwan's native language education policies; The impact of these mother tongue education policies on their willingness to learn their mother tongue. The results show that there are many factors influencing the children's mother tongue learning, among which curiosity is the main factor; After learning mother tongue, it can effectively enhance the willingness of mother tongue learning; The children of new Taiwan are not familiar with Taiwan's mother tongue education policy, so the mother tongue promotion policy will not affect their willingness to learn their mother tongue; Learning mother tongue will bring some benefits in daily life, but it will not help their study and future employment. Therefore, the suggestions of this study for promoting mother tongue policy are to promote the concept of mother tongue learning in new resident families and improve their attitudes and views towards mother tongue; Second, we should establish a set of measures to learn mother tongue at home, so that school and family can learn mother tongue in parallel; Through other channels to strengthen the promotion of mother tongue related policies, so that the children of new Taiwan can understand the resources they can use.
