由於社會變遷及全球對生態環境保育的趨勢，台灣教育逐漸朝向多元化方向發展，而戶外教育亦成為教育部重點推動項目之一；因此，提供一處優良的自然生態環境教育之跨學科主題學習場域，勢必成為國內生態旅遊產業的重要發展方向。
本研究藉由實地參訪位於亞歷桑納州的錫安國家公園，去了解休閒活動和自然資源相結合之發展。透過美國國家公園出版品及網頁所提供資訊，能夠確實掌握各地休閒活動以及季節天候之狀況，並做適當的路線規劃。研究者期望藉此研究，能夠為台灣的休閒活動開創另一股潮流。
Due to the changes in society and the trends in the global ecological environment conservation, education development is gradually moving towards diversification in Taiwan. Outdoor education has become one of the key projects of the Ministry of Education. Therefore, providing a good interdisciplinary thematic learning field of natural ecological environment education is bound to become an important development direction of the domestic ecotourism industry.
This study explored the combination of leisure activities and natural resources through field visits to Zion National Park in Arizona. We could obtain the accurate status of leisure activities and seasonal weather from the National Parks publications and web pages, which could help us to make an appropriate route planning. Hopefully this study will create another new trend for Taiwan's leisure activities in outdoor education.
