This study investigated the influence of pickleball players’ leisure motivation and leisure constraint on leisure satisfaction. Purposive sampling was performed to sample 320 pickleball players for questionnaire survey. A total of 294 valid questionnaires were returned, achieving a response rate of 91.8%. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the demographic variables of the pickleball players. Independent-sample t test and analysis of variance were conducted to analyze the difference in leisure satisfaction between participants with different demographic characteristics. Path analysis was subsequently conducted to verify the influence of leisure motivation and leisure constraint on leisure satisfaction. The results indicated that leisure satisfaction did not significantly differ between pickleball players of different genders and different marital statuses. Furthermore, the players’ leisure motivation significantly and positively influenced leisure constraint, and the leisure motivation also significantly and positively influenced leisure satisfaction. Pickleball players’ leisure constraint had significantly negative effect on leisure satisfaction. This study proposed practical and research recommendations according to the research results and was expected to serve as a reference for relevant authorities to promote pickleball.
