In this study, mantrailing dog was studied as a target to understand the behavior of the Search and rescue dog while searching, and to record the data by the wearable device. The research dog was the mantrailing dog of the Taichung City Government Fire Department, and the dog handler was the search and rescue dog team member Li chun-sheng. The study designed a missing person to cross the Wufu District Guangfu Village or the 921 Earthquake Education Park to the end point, and the dog handler use mantrailing dog wearing device to find the missing person . During the mantrailing process, the dog will have a specific behavior of “stopping forward and looking up”, and then immediately change the direction. If we training the behavior after stopping forward and looking up ,they will be more efficient during the trail. The vedio and trail data recorded by the wearable device are completely in line with the mantrailing mission, and have significant effects on the future application to the mantrailing mission.
Finally, this study is based on research analysis and recommendations for future research and practical implementation of mantrailing work.
