This study collected fire data of Taichung from 2011 to 2016. Further, compare the relationship between frequency of fires and place, cause, month and time of fire occurrence. The results indicated that most fires occurred in independent house, and most of these fires were due to electrical factor. According to analysis of variance (ANOVA), it is unrelated between frequency of fires and month and time of fires. It also means the number of fires does not occure in a specific time period or month.
Finally, fire alarms should be actively promoted for independent residential fires, and establish a complete fire prevention teaching material for high risk fires.
