摘要: The purpose of this study is to apply classification and regression tree to identify what types of care targets are required for each type of dementia patients in order to provide better care. Seventeen input variables including age, gender, and fifteen care targets are used, while the type of dementia is the target. Twenty two rules are generated by classification and regression tree. The findings are summarized below. Patients with Alzheimer's disease are males with 60–79 years old and are required to prevent falls and need disease tracking and health education for dementia and behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD). Female patients need to prevent falls and are required to regular outpatient follow-up treatments. Female patients with vascular dementia need to maintain good personal hygiene and are required to regular outpatient follow-up treatments. Male patients with 90 years old or more need to prevent falls and have enough sleep and rest. Patients with mixed dementia need to prevent falls and keep track of disease and health education for dementia and BPSD.
