本研究以台中愛唱歌手合唱團團員為例，旨探討合唱團員休閒參與動機、休閒阻礙以及休閒參與與休閒阻礙之關係，採用深度訪談法來進行資料蒐集，並選取8位都具有音樂相關背景，目前從事音樂相關工作的合唱團員為研究對象。
研究結果顯示：
(一)在休閒參與動機方面，所有的受訪者都有人際關係這個參與動機，而多數受訪者有，興趣喜歡唱歌、能力勝任這兩項參與動機。
(二)休閒阻礙的部分，多數受訪者表示，阻礙因素中，交通的便利性、在合唱團所花的時間，是較容易遭遇到的阻礙，也容易造成參與活動中斷，而較無法解決的阻礙因素為工作、時間，部分受訪者則表示，金錢、家庭也是造成休閒阻礙的因素。
(三)休閒參與與休閒阻礙之關係，呈現三種情形：第一種時間、工作、金錢、疲乏、氣候，這些休閒阻礙，會影響休閒參與，第二種身體狀況的阻礙，不影響休閒參與，以及第三種家庭、交通、壓力這些阻礙，兩者皆具備，對於部分受訪者，是會影響休閒參與，部分受訪者，不影響休閒參與。
Take choir members of Singing Singer in Taichung as subjects, the study aims to investigate their motivation for leisure participation, obstruction to leisure participation as well as the relationship between the leisure participation and the obstruction. Data is collected by means of in-depth interview. Eight choir members of Singing Singer in Taichung are selected as subjects due to their major in music.
The result of the research shows:
(i) Motivation for leisure participation: interpersonal relationship is the only one factor included in all the participants. An interest in and an capability of singing are also two factors for leisure participation among the subjects.
(ii) Obstruction to leisure participation: the accessibility of the destination as well as the time spent in the chore are two main factors for a breakdown in leisure participation. Time as well as work are factors difficult to overcome and easily result in obstruction. Other factors such as money, family and work are three factors also cause obstruction for part of the subjects.
(iii) The relationship between the leisure participation and the
obstruction is shown in three ways: (1) the obstruction factors such as time, work, money, tiredness and climate has a significant effect in the leisure participation; (2) health condition has an insignificant effect in the leisure participation; (3) the obstruction factors such as family, traffic and pressure has a significant effect in the leisure participation only for some subjects.
