本研究的目的在於探討國小少棒隊之經營管理之現況，並以臺中市少棒隊為研究對象。透過政府支持、學校資源、教練專業、學生來源、社會資源、家長態度等六個構面來探討臺中市少棒隊現行之經營管理，研究結果顯示：
一、政府支持方面：每年的補助款以前一年的成績為主，對於新球隊沒有成績但又急需補助款是一大考驗。
二、學校資源方面：學校實質可以拿出來的經費不多，但學校支持度就是給球隊最好的資源。不過校長四年一任，新校長支持度攸關於球隊的經營。
三、教練專業方面：現行的專業講習非常的多。在教練就業保證的部分，目前的規劃還是稍嫌不足。
四、學生來源方面：在校生由於家長還是以課業至上，招生上會收到限制。有住宿的球隊比較容易招到願意轉學打棒球的學生。
五、社會資源方面：目前除了較具傳統及過往較有成績的球隊容易獲得企業贊助，其他的球隊很難獲得社會資源。
六、家長態度方面：臺中市球隊目前遇到的家長都是很支持的。至於有後援會的球隊，都會有相關的規範來避免家長干涉教練及球隊。
對未來少棒隊經營的建議：
國小球隊除了教練及熱心家長的經營與支持外，更重要的是政府的資源。本研究發現在政府支持、學校資源、教練保證的部分，相關單位還是能夠現行制度能改善的地方做討論，做出適當的配當措施，以期讓我們的基層棒球更蓬勃發展。
The purpose of this study is to explore the current management status of junior baseball teams in Taichung City. Six dimensions of government support, school resources, coaching professionals, student recruitment, social resources and parental attitudes are discussed. The results have show that:
1. Government support: The grants are mainly based on the performance of the previous year. It is a great challenge for the new team to have no result but need the grant urgently.
2. School recourses: School can only provide with little funding, its support is the best resources. However, presidential support only lasts for four years per term, the new principal support is critical to the management of the team.
3. Coaching professional: There are many coaching professional seminars. The current employment planning is still somewhat inadequate.
4. Student recruitment: Schoolwork supremacy is still parental priority. Recruitment might face challenges. It is easier for lodging teams to recruit students who are willing to transfer to baseball.
5. Social recourses: At the present state, traditional teams and teams with good performance easily obtain corporate sponsorship. Other teams have difficulty accessing to social resources.
6. Parental attitudes: Parents are very supportive for the teams in Taichung City. As for the teams with support clubs, there are regulations to prevent parents from interfering with coaches and teams.
Suggestions for future junior baseball teams: In addition to coaching and enthusiastic parents’support, more importantly, the government resources are the must. This study has found that the proper authority need more discussion to make appropriate measures in the area of government support, school resources,and coaching professional to make the baseball teams more vigorous.
