    This thesis seeks to look at the origins and transformation of illustrations relating to feminine issues throughout the history of art. This thesis will research and delve into the styles and symbols used during different time periods, as well as the influences between historical context and femininity, which show the phenomenon of feminine narcissism that was used as a topic of illustration.

    The thesis is based on the developmental process and theory of illustration from studying art history and understanding the progress of transformation to analyzing feminine symbols and images. Three goals will be accomplished during the course of this thesis:First, discover the transformation in forms of art and femininity in symbols and images used in art. Second, use philosophy and psychology to interpret the phenomenon of female narcissism of the respective period as an academic and theoretic foundation.Third, create personally relevant exercises which will prove narcissism in illustration.
