Abstract: In the past three decades, due to the climate change and deterioration of global environment, protecting the global environment has emerged as one of the major challenges in international relations. Many global environmental treaties have been negotiated and endorsed. In terms of international business, green purchasing is the most effective driving force for businesses to promote the development of environmentally conscious products and services and to make green supply chain. In developed countries, the green purchasing movement has been greatly promoted among enterprises and governmental organizations. As a result, the sales of environmentally conscious products have grown drastically. In Taiwan, however, there are still lag behind in such matter. We are therefore to discuss how to catch up with the global trend of green purchasing in Taiwan especially for IT Industry.
