Due to the ageing of world’s population, home accidents, especially elder falls, have become one of the major causes of mortality and morbidity in the elderly. In developed countries, most falls occur around the community or at home. Elder fall has become an issue. This thesis proposes a falls risk-assessment system aim at fall prediction and prevention. The whole system was divided into fall scale assessment and physiological measuring system. Barthel ADL、tinetti gait and balance scale were the main tool for fall scale assessment, which was supported by the measured physiological information including blood pressure、blood sugar、pulse and body temperature.
