    題名: The Relationship between Self-Assessed Health and The Specialization of Popular Music Listeners

    摘要: Because the increasing of society development induce more strain,
    pressure, and changeable life-style. It causes more psychological and
    physical illness. To listen to popular (POP) music reigned as the
    increasing of quality of life. The objectives of this research were to
    realize the relationship between the POP music listeners’ specialization
    and self-assessed health by Short Form 36(SF-36). Four hundred and fifty
    people were selected in this cross-sectional, descriptive study by using a
    structured questionnaire. Four hundred and twenty valid data were used
    to analyze as the results, the valid corresponding rate was 95.6 %. The
    surveys were conducted during the period of March 1st to March 31st
    2010. The results of this study were the followings:
    1. Most surveyed POP music listeners were assessed as the middle level
    of specializations; the percentage was 55.5%; 36.4%, 7.6% and 0.5%
    of the surveyed ones were graded as the primary level, the highest and
    new level of specialization, separately.
    2. Different surveyed POP music listeners’ genders had different vitality
    (VT).
    3. Different surveyed female POP music listeners’ ages had different role
    limitations due to emotional problems (RE).
    4. The higher degree of the surveyed POP music listeners’ specializations,
    the better conditions of their role limitations due to emotional
    problems (RE).
    5. Different levels of surveyed male POP music listeners’ specializations
    had no different for eight self-assessed SF-36 Health Survey.
    IV
    6. “To improve emotion”, “to relax pressure”, and “to have interests”
    were the top three graded surveyed POP music listeners’ motivations.
    7. “Not afford to buy expensive Compact Disc (CD)”, “Be afraid of
    disturbing others”, “Fear cannot to sleep” were the top three graded
    surveyed pop music listeners’ constraints.
    According to the results of this research, we can encourage people to
    listen to pop music to improve their health.
