The purpose of this study is to explore the implementation of social work into church services and to make recommendations on the implementation of social work in the churches.
The research method is using qualitative interviews and snowball sampling. This study interviews with five social workers with social backgrounds and has worked in churches.
The results include following. First, church work was socially relevant, and that the subjects served are vulnerable groups. Church services can contain every corner in the community, and were suitable for the community social work. Second, social workers can help the church get the resources, enhance the church and the government's cooperative relations, so that the church can become a place to serve the public. Third, there is a lot of challenges and conflicts of the cooperative relationship between the church and social workers; such as ethical issues, social workers at the same time is the church member and workers, resulting in dual role pressure.
Finally, according to the results of the study, provide the recommendations and suggestions for follow-up study and the church's social work.
