    Abstract: Supply chain is popular topic which has been discussed by many scholars so far. One of performances of a good supply chain is good flexibility. In a supply chain, especially a virtual supply chain, every section is also important, but maybe manufacturing has a little higher position. Without effective manufacturing, the supply chain could not be good. Therefore, the upstream and downstream of manufacturing relating to receiving materials and delivering finished products also become very important. In addition, supply chain in SMEs is much discussed nowadays on over the world, and in Vietnam. Vietnam is a new independent country where SMEs account for about 99% of numbers of enterprises. Besides, Vietnam is an agricultural nation where agricultural and fishery accounts more than fifty percent of labor force, but, produces only about 11-13% GDP. This illustrates some ineffectiveness in operation, in which supply chain is one of the reasons. Therefore, researching about supply chain in Vietnamese, especially in seafood industry becomes a very important. For that reason, there must be some agreements on the characteristics of a supply chain in order to help the chain run effectively. This study uses FsQCA 2.0 software to analyze the opinions of manufacturing sections to discover some matters to know how supply chains have not worked effectively in Vietnam. All participants of the survey are Deputy Managers or people of higher status in companies. Thus, the finding of this research is suggested to be meaningful and provide good suggestions for supply chain management.
