Abstract: The purpose of this study is to understand the motivation, satisfaction and revisit intention of tourists to Xinshe Flower Sea in order to provide suggestions for Taichung City to make the event better and better in the future.
A self-developed questionnaire is developed and distributed to 400 tourists in Xinshe in 2015. 361 valid questionnaires are collected for analysis. Descriptive statistics, item analysis, factor analysis, T-test, ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation are used to analyze the data.
Significant differences of motivation and satisfaction are found both from variables of age, educational level, occupation, and marital status. Significant differences of revisit intention are found from variables of occupation, and monthly average household income. Significant correlations are found between motivation and satisfaction, satisfaction and revisit intention, and motivation and revisit intention.
Based on the findings, Taichung City should put more emphasis on designing the event, especially on the environment, accessibility, and traffic flow planning, in order to satisfy the need of tourists, and then to increase their revisit intention.
