    Title: The Study of the Relationships Among Tainan City Public Preschools Parents’Participating Motivation, Leisure Constraint, and Leisure Benefit in Recreational events

    Abstract: This study aimed to study to the relationships among Tainan City public preschools parents’ participating motivations, leisure constraint, and leisure benefit recreational vents leisure with their children, and to compare the differences of their motivations, leisure constraint and leisure benefit among parents with different demographic variables, as well as to explore the predictive factors of motivations, leisure constraint and leisure benefits . Parents whose children are enrolled in public preschools at Tainan City are chosen as study subjects. In total of 484 questionnaires were administered and 407 completed, with a 90 % valid returned rate. The data were analyzed by statistical methods such as project analysis, reliability and validity analysis, t test, one-way ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis. According to the empirical results were analyzed as followings:
    First, parents background analysis: respondents in their kindergarten area, the "North River District" the most; respondents of the young children gender "female" than "male"; respondents to the parent sex "female", the majority ; The respondents 'parents' education level was "tertiary"; the majority of leisure activities were "leisure", followed by "social".
    Second,differences between parental background variables and study variables: In the descriptive statistics of leisure obstruction, there were differences in the sex of young children after the analysis of the number of leisure obstacles. In the description of leisure benefits statistics, we found that the school district and the sex of the parents were significantly related to the leisure benefits, and then compared with the Xue Fei method, the results showed that there were differences between the two groups, indicating that parents of Tainan District parents for the benefits of parent-child leisure activities feel better.
    Thirdly, the subjects had significant positive effects on the participation motive and leisure benefits of the parent-child leisure activities. The subjects had a significant positive influence on the leisure and leisure benefits of the participating parent-child leisure activities.
