Abstract: | The purpose of this study is to compare the diversity of college sports curriculum, college students' sports participation and sports programs in Taiwan and the United States. Research object and scope: University sports curriculum, sports news and sports programs for the scope of the study; object for Taiwan and American college students. Research methods: using the Internet as a tool to search for Taiwan and the United States of America colleges and universities sports curriculum and sports programs, supplemented by questionnaire survey to Taiwan and American universities as the mother group, according to the number of school students to purposive sampling, sampling 16 universities. For Sports News, Taiwan collects information from udndata.com and the U.S. collects information from New York Times. There are 28 days in total. For Sports Channels, Taiwan collects information from Fox 1, Fox 2 and WeiLai Sports Channel and the U.S. collects information from Fox 1, and Fox 2. There are 16 days in total. There are 145 validated questionnaires for Taiwan and 81 validated questionnaires for the U.S. The results show that the participation of sports in the supply side, Taiwan and the United States have their own characteristics; sports participation in the demand side, Taiwan slightly higher than the United States; sports watch the supply side, Taiwan's sports program is not necessarily less than the United States; There are cultural differences between Taiwan and the United States. Therefore, the findings of this research can be used by the Ministry of Education in the promotion of physical education in Taiwan University, and follow-up research can also refer to the survey model in this study, sports classes, sports and newspapers and other media to increase the sample Number, do a more in-depth and complete investigation. |
