Abstract: In early stage of Taiwan, the frame production used to be the main character in export trade; however, not only the frame production had been monopolized by the market abroad, it also brought a great impact on our export trade. Facing the continual pressure, how can a Taiwan traditional frame industry utilize the full manufactural knowledge to turn the trend back to the global significant role?
The frame industry has played an important role in our daily life. It can be widely used from decoration, new home settings, and horizontal inscribed board to art accessories. But the frame market still has been collapsed for a long time. Through this research, we can deeply realize the trend and situation of tradition frame industry. What happened with the supply and demand of our market? Why does this industry turn to be a declining industry? Why don’t people need frames anymore?
With internet and related documents, this research had assembled the history of this industry. Because of the limited information, the frame history will not be in this discussion. Observation methods are as following:
    (1) Documents and catalogue analysis
    (2) Market survey and field interviews
    (3) Participant observation
Through these methods, we can assemble, analyze, compare and conclude the change of traditional frame industry.
With online questionnaires and friends’ sharing, people can easily fill in those data. And interviewing with frame retailers, I integrate all aspects information into digitization and conclusion:
    (1) The frame industry needs to be transformed form OEM (original equipment manufacturer) to customization
    (2) The frame industry of public understanding can be driven by tourism.
