The purpose of this study is to investigate the participation motivation, free-time management, and leisure benefits related to recreational sports among kindergarten caregivers. Questionnaire survey was employed as the Methodology, with kindergarten caregivers in Taichung City as the respondents. Data elicited from the questionnaires were then analyzed through descriptive statistics, reliability and validity analysis, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and path analysis with AMOS. The results of the analysis indicate that: (1) kindergarten caregivers of different ages show no significant difference in free-time management and participation motivation for recreational sports; (2) kindergarten caregivers of different education levels show no significant difference in free-time management and participation motivation for recreational sports; (3) kindergarten caregivers of different seniority show no significant difference in free-time management and participation motivation for recreational sports; (4) kindergarten caregivers of different marital status show a significant difference in free-time management but not in participation motivation for recreational sports; (5) The participation motivation for recreational sports among kindergarten caregivers has a significant effect on their free-time management.
