    Title: A Study of Job Stress and Regular Exercise of Elementary School Teachers in Miaoli County

    Abstract: The main purpose of this study in the current situation to understand the job stress and regular exercise of elementary school teachers, and to investigate the differences of different background factors to job stress, the differences of different background factors on regular exercise, the differences between the job stress and regular exercise. The samples in the study were elementary school teachers in Miao-Li County, to use stratified random sampling method, send out 376 questionnaires altogether, retrieve 372 shares, effective questionnaires 352 shares, response of rate of 93.6 %. The resulting data were analyzed by statistical approach to data analysis, conclusions are as follows:
    1. The maximum feeling of job stress of the elementary school teachers’ was "workload", over-all feeling of job stress in the middle-low degree.
    2. The elementary school teachers of different background variables in job stress factor facets, it does not feel the same. There were significant differences in "workload" level in different sex of the elementary school teachers, and males are more than females; there were significant differences in "workload" and "administrative support" levels in different age of the elementary school teachers, and in the "workload" level, and 31 to 40 years old teachers stress feeling are more than 21 to 30 years old teachers, 41 to 50 years old teachers are more than 21 to 30 years old teachers; there are significant differences in "administrative support" level in different years of service of the elementary school teachers; there are significant differences in "professional knowledge" and "administrative support" levels in different positions of the elementary school teachers, and homeroom teachers stress feeling are more than administrative teachers (director / section chief); there are significant differences in "workload" level in different marital status of the elementary school teachers, and married more than unmarried; there are no significant differences in school size in job stress level of the elementary school teachers in Mali County. For the purposes of the overall job stress level, there are no significant differences in different background factors.
    3. Regular exercise behavior of the elementary school teachers accounted for 8.5%.
    4. There are significant differences in regular exercise in different sex of the elementary school teachers, other background factors are no difference.
    5. There are significant differences in "professional knowledge" level in different exercise behavior of the elementary school teachers, teachers who no regular exercise feel more job stress than who regular exercise . In addition, there are no significant difference in the overall level and other levels of job stress.
